Friday Favorites...

This week I've been feeling less than motivated to write on this here blog. I'm not sure what it is exactly, but I'm pretty positive it has something to do with the insane amount of ungodly assignments my professor's are throwing at me these past few weeks. It befuddles be how professors always preach that procrastination is a students worst enemy, yet they feel completely content with assigning a semesters worth of work is just two tiny little weeks.. and your telling me that that's not procrastinating, teach? I beg to differ. Anyway, I'm back with another Friday Favorite!! This is one of my favorite features on my blog because I get to share all the really cool, neat, pretty things I've discovered on this here internet. I must warn you all that this week's list is mostly consists of paper designs, i.e. wedding invitations and business cards. I have a huge love and passion for custom designed paper goods, so I hope you all enjoy this week's Friday Favorites!

This awesome (& clever) tutorial on how make your own Chevron Pattern!

This!!!! For the sole purpose of the Harry Potter reference!!

This pretty, yet simple Invitation Suite.

This whimsical wedding invitations! I love the mixture of fonts.

This very pretty headband.

These lovely, letterpress(!!!) business cards!
I want them for my own!

So this is my favorite little bits that I've come across this week! I'm in love with all of them, and I hope you liked them as well!!!

Have stellar weekend everyone!!

My First Ever Blog Design...

Hi all!! What a stellar start to my week...I just got done with my first ever(!!!) Blog Design!!!!! I'm super excited about this because it's something I've been teaching myself to do for my own blog for a couple of years now and to actually have someone want me to create a layout for their blog is such an honor[no, like really though, it is]. To make the matter even more amazing, I was asked to do this by my very good friend of many years, Kristyn. She is the sweetest, caring, most insightful person I have ever met and I love her to the moon and back for giving me the opportunity to design my first layout for someone other than myself.

Here's what Kristyn's brand new layout looks like! Make sure to give her blog, The Rise of a Novelist a visit. It's chalk full of super awesome DIYs, great Book Reviews and tons more lovely bits and bobs!!! I'm positively positive that you'll love what Kristyn has going on in her corner of the Internet.

'
And of course, if any of you need/want a blog redesign, I'd be more than happy to do one for you!! Just leave a comment below or even send me an email: ardiana.adili@gmail.com!

Happy Monday!!

Friday Favorites

I'm back!! My brother's wedding really consumed all my spare time (and sanity) these past 2 weeks. He finally (after 7 years) married his fiance. It was a beautiful wedding and I had such a great time celebrating with all my family. Now the pressures on for me to find Mr. Right haha (maybe in like 10 years lol)

Any way, this week's Friday Favorites are all from my Pinterest account, because I'm obsessed with that site! Seriously though, I never fail to find the most inspirational ideas on there!

Soo here is goes... enjoy!!!

Great Strides: Taking Steps to Cure Cystic Fibrosis

Hi all!! Sorry I've been M.I.A. these past two weeks... I really tried to better manage my time and make sure I posted on schedule (my schedule was planned out but then life happened)The reason for my absence, is not a fun tale to tell but I would like to take this time out to share with you all why I haven't been around.

My brave, strong, loving, and hilarious cousin, Kyle passed away on March 14th. He had just turned 18 exactly one month earlier to the day. He was born with Cystic Fibrosis, and he put up one hell of a fight! I love and miss him terribly, but I know that he is no longer suffering and laying in a hospital bed for months and months at a time. I never meet a person with soo much strength and courage to fight as long and as hard as my cousin did. He successfully has a double lung transplant on July 5th of 2010 and was blessed with just 4 short months of normal life. He was able to breath for the first time in years with no machines and he could run and play and swim as much as he wanted too. Although, he did turn ill shortly after he's transplant, he never gave up and fought until the very end. I'm glad he's able to rest peacefully and free from any pain he experienced while he was with us. He truly is an angel sent straight from above. I love you, Kyle with all my heart, forever and always..

I know this is definitely not the happiest post ever written, but I felt it had to be done to bring some attention to this devastating disease that effects thousands of children and young adults all over the world. I'm participating in a walk for Cystic Fibrosis in honor of my cousin Kyle on May 11th in Verona, NJ. He is my hero and I am so proud to be walking in his honor. I would love if you'd all be able to help me reach my fundraising goal of $150.00, by donating to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Even if it's only $1.00, every little bit will help to make a difference!! Or, if your in the area at the time of the event, you can even join my team, 'In Memory of Kyle L. Lane,' and walk with me and my family on May 11th!!

You can click the link below to donate securely via the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation website.

Thank you all so much for your support and generosity!!
It truly does mean the world to me and my family.
