MOVIE REVIEW: The Hangover Part 2

The most anticipated sequel of the year has finally arrived!! Such an excellent way to start off the summer! So as I always do when a movie i must see comes out, I attend the midnight showing at my local movie theater! It honestly the only way to view movies! The whole atmosphere of the theater is just so fun and exciting. Everyone's there for the same reason, which means your sitting a room filled with people who love something just as much as you do! Its pretty awesome, in my opinion.
So on to the movies review!! The Hangover Part 2 definitely delivered all and more that it promised! Its was absolutely hilarious from beginning to end! I honestly don't think there was a silent moment in the whole theater lol All the characters we right on point and keep the audience laughing uncontrollably the entire time!
The only disappointment to this sequel was that it was a carbon copy of the first film, as far as the plot goes. four friends, one is getting married, they have a bachelor party, they get f*cked up, and can not remember a single thing from the night before, someone in the group is missing, they have to find them before the wedding which is hours away. See, exactly the same! It was a little disappointing, but the fact that they were able to pull little bits from the first movie was gold!

My rating on The Hangover Part 2: Definitely a MUST-SEE, but maybe on free movie tuesday or use a coupon lol, because it honestly isn't worth the 10 bucks, but still a MUST-SEE!!!!

Have you seen The Hangover Part 2 yet? What did you think of it? Sequel genius or just another money maker? Tell me what you thought of it by leaving a comment!!!

Have fabulous week!!

a day at the beach...

This past wednesday, me and four of my closest friends took an impromptu trip down the shore! It was probably the most fun I've had in a very, very long time! We went to Monmouth Beach and it was beautiful! The weather could not have been better for a day at the beach. We got there a little later that we had liked, but that didn't stop us from taking advantage of our surroundings.
We got to the beach around 4, laid out our towels and enjoyed the first beach trip of the summer!! (which is always the best trip in my opinion!) We tested out the water, which was freezing cold! But once again that didn't stop any of us from jumping right in! We had almost too much fun, i would say lol There were barely any people there, which was perfect, because we got to act like the five year olds we really are without having to worry about any onlookers lol
There was a man who was fishing right off the shoreline and he caught two huge fish! And being the five year olds that we are, we literally ran over to him with our phones in hand to take pictures of the huge fish! My dad's a fisherman so i knew exactly what type fish they were and my friends just laughed at my knowledge lol it was rather funny though.
Once we had our fill of the beautiful Jersey Shore, we headed back home around 7. We had plans that evening to go see The Hangover Part 2 at midnight, but not until we had some Captain and Coke to get us in the movie viewing mood! lol
Definitely one of the best days I've had in quite a long time. Its amazing what a day with your best friends can do to you!

Have you planned a trip with your best friends for the summer? If so, where are you guys going? I'd love to hear about your plans!

new beginning... new name

so the first part of this makeover was to change the name. Random Ramblings was more of a super rythmey tongue twister than an actual meaningful title. So i've come up with Anchors in the Sea. Its a cute, little, flowy title that actually holds some meaning to me. This makeover is taking my blog into a new direction. One that i wanted my blog to have since day one. I'm going to use my blog as a place to document all my daily happenings and i want to be able to grow from what i document and eventually find my place in the world. So the meaning of the title, to me, is that the sea is a vast place where you can explore and find new adventures and experiences. The anchors are all the little things in life that hold us back, and almost prevent or exploration of the world, but the anchors also keep us grounded and help to remind us where we've come from.
i'm so very please with my new title and hope all of you stick around through the rest of this makeover! Thanks bunches everyone & have an awesome wednesday!

xxoo

I'd love to hear what you all think of the new title! Please do not hesitate to tell me your thoughts on it! thanks again!

new adventures on the horizon

So I have been doing pretty well with posting on this blog almost twice a week, which is a lot considering I left this blog unattended for almost 5 months!! Shame on me, i know! I'm such a bad blogger : (  But I have redeemed myself a bit by blogging more often. See the thing is, that I started a baking blog (baking is one of my passions in life) about 2 months ago and I've been extremely committed to it, posting about 3-4 times a day! So you can imagine that I have barely any time to post on my personal blog. When I started Random Ramblings last year, I really didn't know where i wanted my blog to go. At first I wanted it to be a "Daily Photo" blog, where I posted a picture or two everyday relating to something I was doing, liked or just really wanting to share on my blog. That ended rather quickly as I began using my blog to vent/rant about life! It was super helpful for me; having a place to complain to anyone who stumbles upon my blog, not that I think people what to hear about my rants lol but I really benefited from it. So I decided quite recently that I want my blog to be a place for me! To document my (hopefully) daily life with outfit posts perhaps, crafty items I make or read/hear about, friends, work, school and all that fun stuff. I have SO MUCH i want to share, but I don't always have to time to write about it, which is unfortunate. Years down the road, I want to be able to look back on my early twenties and remember everything I've posted about. Which is why I'm considering a blog makeover; start from almost scratch. And if anyone finds what I post about even slightly interesting and decides to follow, well that's just icing on the cupcake! I hope to connect with others out their in the blogging world and share stories, experiences, ideas, etc...

Thanks for letting me rant, if you do decide to stick around through the makeover, i'll love you bunches of cupcakes! xxoo

little simples

well today is monday and that usually means everyone is miserable and yearning for the weekend to start again. However, this monday was definitely one of the best that I've had in a while! In case you are unaware of today's significance, it is 5†23†11, the release date for Lady GaGa's brand new album, "Born This Way"!!!! I have been waiting for today for what feels like forever!!!! I'm tickled pinker than you can believe that today has finally arrived! My best friend in the entire world, and myself went to Target to pick up a copy of this musical genius!! and it was only 10 bucks, WIN!! And we both unknowingly wore the exact same Lady GaGa shirt and black hoodie with matching black leggings haha I felt like I was 5 again dressing to match my best friend. And it didn't bother either one of us that we were matching head to toe lol It was funny, actually. As soon as we each purchased our own copies of our audio bibles, we played the CD through its entirety until we reach  the restaurant we were going to have lunch at. Its an awesome Mexican style restaurant that is decorated like a fiesta everyday! and the food is literally amazing! PLUS, they offer vegetarian dishes!(Another WIN!!) Lunch was delicious, just like we expected it to be. We talked about the usual; family, school, work or lack-there-of lol and we finalized our plans to see The Hangover 2 at midnight on Wednesday! This week is definitely out weighing all the stressfulness that has also arrived at my front door but that's another post lol
Also, so more random news, I had to send my beautiful acoustic-electric guitar out to be fixed in the middle of April and I just got it back today! I've been so restless without it! Usually when a song idea pops into my head i strum it out on my guitar, or to relieve stress, sadness, anger, etc... Its been the most stressful, sad, anger moth without my guitar! I;m so glad to have it back, But its not the same exact guitar, they sent me a completely brand new guitar, same style but updated! and the black wood has sparkles in it!  eep!! I was sooo excited when my dad brought it home tonight! I've been playing it nonstop!
I guess its the little simples, as i like to call them, that truly make life worth it! Enjoy the rest of your week everyone and have a super awesome memorial day weekend!!

MOVIE REVIEW: Pirates of the Caribbean- On Stranger Tides

So May 20th was the opening of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, and like I always do with movies I absolutely love, I go the night before to the midnight showing! Its the absolute best way to view a new movie, the only way in my opinion!
Now the saying goes, that the more sequels a film produces, the worst the whole series becomes. I half agree and half disagree with this statement. When a movie is intentionally made for a sequel(s), then I feel the series only grows better, but when a movie that has no need for a sequel, has one, it does decrease the quality of the original film, in my opinion.
This is not the case at all with PotC4!! Besides the first film, Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, This fourth installment was my favorite film yet! I already knew going into seeing this movie that it was no doubt going to be quite comical, and it was. But I wasn't sure if the story line was going to make sense with the other films, but I'm happy to say I was not let down! This film definitely delivered! Better than I expected plot wise, everything fell into place perfectly from where we were left in the 3rd film. Five Star rating in my opinion!

My recommendation: DEFINITELY A MUST-SEE!!!!!

Have you seen Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides yet? What did you think of the fourth installment in the Pirates Series? I'd love to hear your comments/opinions about it!

PRODUCT REVIEW: OPI Nail Lacquer

Just recently I purchased OPI Nail Lacquer, the Pirates of the Carribean edition. I've been dying to get my hands on the OPI Nail SHATTER and I could not find it anywhere! I drove about 45 minutes out of my way just to find this liquid genious, and NOTHING!! Not one store had ANY in stock! So naturally I went to the next best thing, THE INTERNET! and thanks to Amazon.com I found it!!! The WHOLE Pirates of the Carribean collection actually! I was tickled pink to see those goregous colors appear on my computer screen. I had to order up almost all of them! I choose my favorites, as I'm not in a place financially to be spending my money mindlessly. I picked "Skull and Glossbones," "Mermaid Tears," "Planks A Lot," and of course, "Silver Shatter!" I love them all!! No complaints about any of them! The colors are scary accurate to the shades shown on the internet, which I was pleased with. There's nothing more I hate than seeing something on the Internet or TV, ordering it, and then once it arrives, it's nothing like what the advertisement showed. it can be dissappointing, however that was not the case with the OPI Nail Lacquer. I absolutely LOVE every single shades I purchased and thanks to the Pirates of the Carribean collection, I'm constantly change my nail color! I highly RECOMMEND this product to anyone who loves nail lacquer!! And even if you don't, these shades will change more mind for sure!

(From Left to Right) 'Skull and Glossbones,' 'Silver Shatter,' and 'Planks A Lot'

Have you tried OPI Shatter? What are your thoughts on it? Planning on trying the new Pirates of the Carribean collection? Share by commenting! : D

30 Day DETOX: Mind + Body

I was just over at Kaelah Bee's blog, Little Chief Honeybee, and she had just posted about a 30 day Detox of the mind and body. I was reading her post and thought to myself, "This is definitely something I should do!" I am currently going through a lifestyle change, by means of what I eat and being more active. I'm only 21 years young and I'm definitely not where I should be health wise. So I'm in the process of fixing it lol And seeing Kaelah's post has motivated me  even more to maintain a healthier life style permanently!
So what I have for you today little bloggers, is to join in and take the vow to have a better, happy, and healthier mind and body in 30 days! And its quite simple to follow!! All you have to do is keep a positive mind frame for 30 days!! That's is it! Now I know sometimes it can be difficult to be positive because there are a lot of us going through some really hard times be it may financially, pyshically, the poor job market, of just life itself! But any time you find yourself feeling down, or being negative towards another person, whether its face-to-face or on the internet, just think a positive thought or even a happy memory and turn that frown, upside down!! It may be difficult at first, but after a few days it'll become second nature!!!
As for the body side of this pledge, this may be the hardest part for eveyone(or maybe just myself lol) I find myself avoding "working out" as much as possible. I will do anything to distract myself from excerising! I don't know what it is, I just hate doing it! lol Maybe its the actually having to motivate one's self to excerise. But here's some simple ways to get active! Have a pet? Then take the adorable animal for a walk around the block, they'll love you even more and you be loving yourself more! Have stair? walk up and down those babies a few time and you'll love the results of your behind!! Have bike? This weather is to beautiful to not be outside riding it, so go ahead an ride aroung town for an hour! These are just a few of MANY ways that you can become more active within thirty days!! And no gym membership is required!! Sounds like a plan to me!

Do you plan on taking the 30 Day Detox: Mind + Body? Let me know, I'd love to here about your experience with it and share some stories!!
Comment or email at ardiana_adili@yahoo.com!

Head over to kaelahbee's blog, Little Chief Honeybee to get a sweet "30 day DETOX: Mind + Body" button to post on your own blog!!

finals. job hunting. summer. oh boy!

thank goodness this semester is practically over!! no more papers! no more homework! no more tests! NO MORE FINALSSSSS!!!! I'm so happy this semester is over bc I did really well for once and I can't wait to see my final grades!! I took my intro. to business final today and it was honestly the easiest exam I've ever taken!!! My professor used the exact questions from our preivous tests and gave us a complete list of all the essays!! hard to believe this happened in a college course. But I don't mind, as long as I get a really good grade! I have my Accounting 102 final on Monday(MY LAST FINAL OF THE SEMESTER!!!!) and my professor is having a study group tomorrow morning at 9am, ON A SATURDAY! ughhh! its soooo annoying, but I know that if I want to do well than I need to go! and i shall! haha
I was also recently "let go" (to put it nicely) from my job at a jewlery/accessories store. After being there for over a year in April, I'm honestly happy to say that I'm glad I no longer work there. It was just another one of those mall jobs where they promise you the world but instead, they take advantage of you in every way possible! Soo unfair! I've finally decided people in retail have no souls!! They're selfish and heartless, well at least the people I worked with. Its a little harsh on my part to claim that everyone in retail is a heartless person.
The one thing I hate about leaving a job, is having to find a new one! ughhhh!! its such a headache! But fortunately, I searched craigslist for days and submitted what seemed like 100 resumes and I actually got a call back from a Chiropractor's office. The interview went extremely well, actually a thousand times better that I anticipated! The Chiropractor interviewed me and seemed to be interested in hiring me. I'm eagerly waiting for Tuesday to roll around for two reasons: 1) SCHOOL'S OVER!!!! 2)the Chiropractor's office will be calling me back to let me know if I got the job!!! : D  Such an exciting day Tuesday will be!
And then there's summer, its practically here!! And i'm just as excitd about it as the grade school kids who still have a month or so of school left!! I just love the idea of not have to constantly be running back and forth between school and work! I might actually get to have a social life again!! Considering I haven't had one since probably right around.... oh yeah, LAST SUMMER!!!! It's crazy, I know but school became my number 1 priority, like it should have always been. It tooked me a while to realize that I kinda have to actually go to class regularly and do my homework on time inorder to do well in college, and eventually graduate. So I'm the right path finally! And ready to relax and enjoy my time off this summer!! well until summer classes start hahaha

to be honest im rather annoyed with my self with the fact that i have failed to commit to this blog. i'm barely ever on here and its sad actually, because i really wanted to commit myself to making this an every day thing.
i just recently started a brand new blog! im super passionate about baking, ever since i was little and i hope to one day very soon open my own brick and mortar bakery! i start "The Adventures of a Small Town Cupcake" to share with anyone who's interested, all my baked goods and baking advice. its been extremely fun and i'm seeing more success with it every day. if you stumble upon this blog, then maybe you can head on over to STC and check it out: Small Town Cupcake Blog
i'm really going to try again to commit myself to this blog. i feel with this semester ending in just under a week and summer approaching rapidly, now would be a great time to re-commit my self to Random Ramblings. I'm going to be having much more time on my hands and i want to share all my absolutely random bits of stuff on here.
     Thanks for sticking around!
