Hi all!! Sorry I've been M.I.A. these past two weeks... I really tried to better manage my time and make sure I posted on schedule (my schedule was planned out but then life happened)The reason for my absence, is not a fun tale to tell but I would like to take this time out to share with you all why I haven't been around.
My brave, strong, loving, and hilarious cousin, Kyle passed away on March 14th. He had just turned 18 exactly one month earlier to the day. He was born with Cystic Fibrosis, and he put up one hell of a fight! I love and miss him terribly, but I know that he is no longer suffering and laying in a hospital bed for months and months at a time. I never meet a person with soo much strength and courage to fight as long and as hard as my cousin did. He successfully has a double lung transplant on July 5th of 2010 and was blessed with just 4 short months of normal life. He was able to breath for the first time in years with no machines and he could run and play and swim as much as he wanted too. Although, he did turn ill shortly after he's transplant, he never gave up and fought until the very end. I'm glad he's able to rest peacefully and free from any pain he experienced while he was with us. He truly is an angel sent straight from above. I love you, Kyle with all my heart, forever and always..
I know this is definitely not the happiest post ever written, but I felt it had to be done to bring some attention to this devastating disease that effects thousands of children and young adults all over the world. I'm participating in a walk for Cystic Fibrosis in honor of my cousin Kyle on May 11th in Verona, NJ. He is my hero and I am so proud to be walking in his honor. I would love if you'd all be able to help me reach my fundraising goal of $150.00, by donating to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Even if it's only $1.00, every little bit will help to make a difference!! Or, if your in the area at the time of the event, you can even join my team, 'In Memory of Kyle L. Lane,' and walk with me and my family on May 11th!!
You can click the link below to donate securely via the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation website.
Thank you all so much for your support and generosity!!
It truly does mean the world to me and my family.
I can't wait for this walk!
